For Interstate & International Travel, contact us as soon as you know your travel details to assist with your pet’s travel process. Factors to consider may include meeting time frames for obtaining a health certificate, updating vaccinations, diagnostic testing, or administration of medications/ treatments. We encourage owners to research the requirements for interstate & international travel through the respective State’s Department of Agriculture, foreign consulates/embassies or through APHIS at www.aphis.usda.gov

Don’t forget to include countries where you may have a layover or short stay. Every country has different requirements.

Some states now require Import Permits for companion animals. Please check with your respective State Department of Agriculture or APHIS at www.aphis.usda.gov for specific state pet importation requirements.

Within 10 days of travel a health examination and other services (if required) will be provided and travel certificates prepared

International Health Certificates

Require an initial consultation with our APHIS- Accredited Veterinarian so that he/she confirm the country import requirements and ensure you are on schedule to meet import requirements.  A time table and action plan will be developed at this visit to ensure safe travels for your pet.

Some countries may require endorsement by the USDA APHIS Veterinarian. Endorsements can be done on a walk in basis at the downtown Austin location:
